With all the hype still surrounding Tesla as the go to company for electric cars, it's hard for anyone to realize that Nissan has by far the most number of electric cars out there on the road. That car is the LEAF. Nissan is well known for making reliable cars and there is an abundance of new and used LEAF options out there - this speaks to the quality and reliability of their cars. Unfortunately not much can be said for their marketing strategy.
You can easily see for yourself by doing a search for 'Used Nissan Leaf' and you'll see that there are plenty of leafs (Leaves? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) on Cars.com and Autotrader. The prices go as low as $5000. If you're looking for something affordable and cheap that can get you from A to B within the city, I would strongly consider the very inexpensive Leaf.
