If you need evidence that the transition to electric cars is actually a real thing and not a slow moving fad driven by Tesla, then check this out. Ford just showcased an all electric Ford Mustang. It's being called the Ford Mustang Lithium. The specs on this are compelling. It has over 900 horsepower and 1000 lbs/feet of available torque.
The styling is still within the bounds of the traditional Mustang look. It doesn't scream futuristic sports coupe. The interior is almost the same as the current production mustang, which is a let-down. IT does have a 10.4 inch touch screen in the center rack - similar to Tesla's Model S. IT comes in 4 driving modes - Valet, Track, Sport and Beast. I guess the latter is their answer to Tesla's ludicrous mode.
The design collaboration between Ford and Webasto, an automotive technology company, was presented at the 2019 SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas.
